Bevan Roberts

Bevan is an experienced Manager across an extremely wide range of Industries.

A South Australian, he established and ran his own business for over 25 years, returning to SA after 6 years interstate.

His business supplied home improvement products to both the private and specifier sector.

He joined Dale Wood Business Sales Consultancy in 2005 and in 2007 became part of a management acquisition of this well established consultancy.

As CEO he is responsible for the market postioning and development of the business.

He has recently been appointed to the Business Council of South Australia.

John has enjoyed a 25 year career in Senior Marketing & Sales in the medium sized business sector.

John established his own technology company, developing and implementing accounting systems and technology for the accounting, legal and real estate professions.

He also established, in partnership with his wife, a number of successful wholesale business dealings with major department stores including Myers, K-Mart, Harvey Norman, Toys R Us and hundreds of independent retailers throughout Australia. John sold the business which had achieved an annual turnover in excess of $7 million, to overseas interests.

John joined Dale Wood Business Sales Consultancy in 1997.

Brian Sander
Director

WINNER IN 2005, OF THE REISA "PRESIDENT’S, SIR ROBERT TORRENS AWARD”

Brian has been selling businesses for almost 30 years. He was Managing Director of Sander & Associates before their merger with Dale Wood Business Sales Consultancy in September 2002.

Brian’s early training was in general real estate, then in the commercial field, where he was employed by a large international company. He moved into business sales in the mid 1970’s and in 1981 formed his own company, Sander & Associates.

Brian is one of the few people in South Australia to hold both the qualifications of Valuer and Business Broker. This combination of skills has made him a valuable expert witness in Court matters relating to the valuation of business and goodwill.

He is a Certified Business Broker, Land Conveyancer and a qualified Valuer. He is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute, the peak body of Valuers in Australia. He is also an Associate and sits on the National Executive of the Australian Institute of Business Brokers. He was recently made a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Australasia and was the inaugural winner in 2005 of the Sir Robert Torrens Award for Services to the Industry. Brian is a certified Level 4 Trainer & Lecturer for both the Real Estate Institute of S.A. and TAFE in Business Sales, Valuation & Documentation.

John O'Brien

John has enjoyed a 35 year career in Sales and Marketing.

He commenced his career in footwear retail in New Zealand and at the age of 20 was manager of a leading retail store in Auckland.

John was appointed Sales Manager of Import Wholesale Footwear division, being responsible for sales and marketing across New Zealand.

He was then appointed Marketing Manager of a Victorian footwear manufacturer.

John moved to South Australia to open his own agency business which operated successfully, with a sales force of 4, for 14 years at which time he sold the business, and opened his own discount retail store.

He was enticed back to the wholesale business to service the major accounts for South Australia’s largest agency. John was then employed by a clothing and sporting goods manufacturer to market their apparel in South Australia.

This led to John being employed for 3 years as manager for Rowe & Jarman in their wholesale and corporate division. He was responsible for their marketing, budgets and gross profit, as well as staff management. The calibre of his clients included Colonial, Ansett, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Australian Institute of Sport, Radio Rentals, S.A.N.F.L., South Australian Cricket Association and West Australian Cricket Association amongst others. John joined Dale Wood Business Sales Consultancy in 2000.

Doug Willats
M.R.E.I., C.P.M., C.B.B., A.I.B.B.

Doug Willats has a broad range of experience in banking and management, and has successfully operated his own businesses.

Following a 17 year career in the Commonwealth Bank, dealing with customer finance, Bankcard operations and loan applications, he purchased a city supermarket in 1982, doubling its turnover in the first six months. Doug sold the business in 1990.

He managed a supermarket in Gawler, which was then bought out by Davids SA. Davids SA then recruited Doug to their Supermarket Division.

He joined Dale Wood Business Sales Consultancy in 1998.

Steve Foreman

Steve spent 10 years with South Australian clothing and footwear icon RM Williams Pty Ltd, involved in retail and wholesale product representation and the development and implementation of their national retail chain of Bushman’s Outfitters stores.

This was followed by 16 years experience in the transport industry, predominately with Ansett Air Freight and various divisions of TNT Australia.

His roles included Sales and Marketing, Operations, Administration, Branch and State Management. Areas of specialty included air, road, warehousing, distribution and logistics.

Steve enjoyed 2 years with Link Telecommunications specifically involved with the design, application and sales of messaging and call management systems.

Steve also has a 25 year association with Licensed Premises and has recently converted this knowledge into successful sales.

Bronte Schubert

Bronte Schubert portraitBronte commenced his working life as a secondary school teacher in Gawler, where he taught for eight years at Gawler High. He was a sports master for many of those years, and also coached Gawler Central in the local football competition winning a premiership with the "B' Grade Team.

He joined Legal & General as a sales person, and success in this field led to him being appointed as an Agency Manager after two years in the field. Bronte recruited and trained a team of salespeople throughout SA, to the stage where his team was ranked number three in Legal &General in Australia. After six years in this role he was appointed Manager for SA and NT. The performance of the SA Branch enabled him moving to Sydney as the National Agency Director for Legal & General.
In this role, Bronte travelled Australia extensively, and also had a shared responsibility for arranging offshore conferences for company agents, often with a budget in excess of $3million and travelling to such destinations as Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Phuket, India and Kathmandu.

In 1988 Bronte and his family returned to Adelaide where he continued to work with Legal & General until 1990 when he resigned and commenced his Business Coaching Consultancy. This resulted in him having clients in all states of Australia and from a multitude of professions.
He continued in this profession until 1998 when he purchased the leasehold of the East West Motel in Ceduna. In the six years that he lived in this extremely interesting country environment, he was an active member of the community, serving on the committee of the Ceduna Business and Tourism Association, and being the chairperson for two years.
On his return to the city, Bronte joined Dale Wood where he met the members of the current team. After a stint as business development consultant for Baker Young Stockbrokers, and business sales person for Pope Nitschke First National which further enhanced his skills as a business broker, Bronte is delighted to be back with the professionals of Dale Wood Business Sales Consultancy.

SPECIALISING IN: Manufacturing, Financial Services, Retail, Food/Service outlets and is developing a geographical presence in the southern areas and Fleurieu Peninsula.
